Phone forward madness?

So, if you've got two phone lines and you can do call forwarding, what happens when you set one phone to forward to the second phone and you set that phone to forward to the first phone and then call the second phone from the first phone?

Will you break the Internet?

The results are less spectacular than you might wish. Each phone rings once alternately until the first voice mail kicks in.

I was hoping that there would be some other dimensional romance between the two phones. Like finding a soul mate. It would be the beginning of the end of the Matrix.
