I walked down to see if I could catch a glimpse. I saw several medium size birds fly through the woods. They looked black and some of the individual calls sounded like crows. There are other calls mixed in, too. Probably multiple flocks. There is a marshpond less than 1/2 mile in the woods, plus there is a wild game processor not too far either, so we're a local gathering place for birds of all types.

I've had hummingbirds and wild turkeys peeking at me through my windows on occaision.

If you SEE thousands of birds and can't hear them, look for a small, portly Englishman directing the scene.

If you don't see one, RUN!

They seem to like a couple of very wide open backyards on a street near here. I've seen them the last
couple of springs when out walking the dog in the morning. Hundreds of them! Haven't seen them coming
south for the winter, though.

there is a marsh pond maybe half a mile back in the woods behind my pasture. Dogs and I have found our way there in the wintertime sometimes.

maybe because somebody was target shooting up the road a bit, so still a racket. I preferred the birds.
