Dancing sideways on the park sidewalk to "Sugar Pie Honey Bunch" then "Get on The Good Foot".....and I didn't care one bit.

I love James Brown, I don't know how I missed out on this song for so long, but I'm happy you posted it so I could discover it, thanks for that.

And! I'm glad you had such a great Sunday. Life IS good.

No music except the rustle of the breeze in the golden red leaves in the trees, and the rhythm of crunching brown leaves beneath our feet.

We're all tired now. I gave Jakes aspirin before we headed out so that it would be in effect for the walk. We tried to go far enough to see the lake -- it didn't look far on the map, compared the the length of the trail -- but never did make it. I was getting concerned, but we came to a steep climb and I decided we'd finish the climb for the view and then head back. Halfway up, a couple was coming down from the top with their dog. Luna freaks out at other dogs and there wasn't a good place to get him off the trail and hold him, so we headed back. Just as well...Jake and I were both pooped by the time we made it to the car. I stumbled a couple times with the sun in my eyes, and my left knee and ankle were starting to bother me. Known injury -- it's the knee that Luna nearly took out a few weeks ago and then the ankle got strained from compensation.

So many hills and little mountains to climb, and so little time.

This weekend was the first days I've felt well since June. The heat and humidity knocked me out through August. And then I was surrounded by sick people at work, so fighting their illnesses constantly. Bronchitis (most likely haemophilus influenzae based on the antibiotics they gave him), and unknown fever from somebody right next to me. Anyway, so happy that finally and at long last I'm getting some things done and even had some time and energy left to play and enjoy it.
