The DU Lounge
Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsNot sure if many of you remember him, but guitarman has passed away
I don't post on DU anymore but made an exception for this at the request of a mutual friend who was too torn up to do this herself. It happened suddenly last night. He was 50 and leaves a wife and a 9 year old daughter who was the apple of her daddy's eye. Some of you may remember the pictures he used to post of her...
Just wanted to pass this along, and if anyone wants to share with DU in general, and not just the lounge, that'd be fine. Thank you.
BTW, he was no longer a DUer but I hope it's still OK, to let people know anyway.

(18,791 posts)I looked over the posts and the lovely pictures...how sad.
If anything, in the future, I'm hoping that his beautiful daughter is old enough to remember her beloved father. I'm lucky to have known my father until he was 85 and my mom still lives with me at age 93. My personal however is that I never knew my grandparents on my dad's side and only a cloudy memory of my mom's folks...I hope she will be able to remember him for things like the bike pictures.
My deepest condolences to his family,
Still Blue in PDX
