SPOILERS<- "Does Episode 502 Provide 'The Walking Dead's' Most Shocking Moment Ever?" ->SPOILERS

http://www.forbes.com/sites/allenstjohn/2014/10/19/does-episode-502-provide-the-walking-deads-most-shocking-moment-ever/

Has there ever been a more shocking moment on The Walking Dead? (Serious spoiler Alert: The Walking Dead up to episode 502)

Yes, I know that this is a show in which a 10-year-old kid shoots his mother to keep her from turning into a walker. And one in which Rick bit open the neck of a would-be killer. And the less said about what happened at The Grove, the better.

And somehow, this moment have been worse than any of them. Bob being eaten. Alive. By a hipster. (Before writing poor Bob’s obituary, note that Hershel survived a good long time on one leg.)

“If it makes you feel any better, you taste much better than we thought you would,” smirks Gareth. Yes, you heard it right. (At least he didn’t suggest, like Chad Coleman on Talking Dead, “you taste like chicken.”)

But I had been thinking he had been bitten by a walker when he was in the water at the food bank.

Anyone else think that?

4. I thought so too, the way he was acting outside

I thought he was weeping against the tree b/c he had been bitten or scratched or something. I wonder what would happen to people who ate the meat of a not-yet-turned-but-about-to bitten person?

Unless you want to come up with something new about this particular zombie genre. Like, for instance, the fact that the zombie was in the water so long that the zombie virus was too diluted to cause a problem.

That is, of course, assuming he was bitten.

The signs seems to be certain that Bob has reached his end. Facts: He has had more lines and attention in the last few episodes; to the fact that they are saying that one of the cast will be on the sofa on the Talking Dead--usually signified that someone important is going to die; to the fact that the show seems to keep the count of main black characters down and the priest raised the number of black men to three (R.I.P. T-Dog), and finally, the last bit of evidence is that the facts, as we know them, would fit a known plot twist from the comic books.

11. So you're saying they were looking for them and then they found him outside of the church?

Which means they found them all.

And next week they take 2 more. How hungry are they?

12. Yes, I think The Hunters were looking for Rick's group.

Rick was right when he said they should've gone back and made sure they were all dead. But they didn't. Bad move.

7. Did anyone else wonder if these cannibals were Bob's "old group" that he didn't want to

talk about earlier in the series when someone ask him about that? I think at that time he just said "I don't want to talk about it" or something similar.

The eating alive bit seemed really personal, esp. for people who are behaving so impersonally.

that it was "ironic" that it was Bob that they'd grabbed to eat. I think he said "ironic" because I wondered why he would say that about Bob in particular. Was just a passing thought as I watched it.
