It's just a cold and bronchitis, but man, this one has knocked me on my ass. I have my own nebulizer and albuterol due to past history of respiratory ailments, so fortunately, I can treat the respiratory problems aggressively at home. But unfortunately, albuterol makes you feel jittery and hyper - my voltage is so high I haven't slept for a couple days. I did see a doctor today and I also have impetigo, which is highly contagious.
And food? BLEH! My mouth is dry and feels like cotton, so I didn't eat for a couple days. I took a couple bites of a hamburger tonight and it tasted like somebody ate it once already. BLEH! I threw it out.
Aaachoo! I'm miserable. And physically exhausted, but jittery and hyper at the same time.
I'm having a pity party - with a time limit because I don't want to stay in the negativity for long. This is temporary, I keep telling myself. I'll be patient, but hurry!
So someone, tell me a funny story, share an adorable cat or dog pic, tell me a joke, or in other words, help me blow a little sunshine up my ass.
BLEH!

(205,405 posts)The weird thing is that I'm sick, too, also had bronchitis, was away so went to one of those doc-in-the-box places which helped very little. I kept putting off coming home because I felt so crappy, but finally had to bite the bullet and drive, despite feeling dizzy on the highway, since I had to be home to vote, for all the good that did. I made a doctor's appt. for tomorrow, but I've been relying on my albuterol inhaler, too, almost used the damn thing up, and it had been so long that I'd gotten it refilled that my prescription expired. I always knew we were kindred spirits...
Anyway, I now have a kitten. Back in August, I stopped to pick up groceries and spotted a little creature outside the store. They're doing construction at that store, so talked to a few of the construction guys and they said he'd been there for a few days and they'd tried to catch him, but one of them had gotten bitten. Of course I just couldn't leave the little thing there, so went back with a cat carrier, tuna and a towel (suggestion from the girl at the pet store), but wouldn't have had much luck without the help of a couple of caring and determined store employees.
Took him to my vet and turns out he's male, was about seven weeks, according to the vet, and healthy. He's black with a spot of white on his chest and a tiny bit of white on one foot - looks like he's going to be long haired - much like my Rhiannon, of all things. He was hard to photograph because he moves so fast, so I've attempted some videos, but he's gotten bigger and friendlier and is getting over the biting, LOL.
Meet Felix! There are more, but these are my favorites, so far.. Feel better soon, my friend!

(17,865 posts)And yes, I'm still up. I'm getting tired but still too jittery to sleep. I'm not going to do anymore nebulizer treatments until after I can get some sleep.
I really HAVE TO sleep today if I'm to make it to work tomorrow night. I don't have to be there until 11:00 p.m.
Be well, friend.

(205,405 posts)And I'm still up, too, but have to get some sleep if I'm going to get up to make my doctor's appt. tomorrow. Isn't that always the way? *sigh* And a certain someone seems to have acquired a second wind, was standing on my keyboard a minute ago, LOL. Get some rest, my friend, and feel better...
