sun dresses and krinkled dyed cotton peasant skirts & bags made out of the same material as the sun dresses. I loved shopping there. Don't know why they closed because whenever I was there they were very busy.

(12,132 posts)BF was a dime store in the little town in Texas where I lived. They had all kinds of the usual things a dime store would have but I remember they had a pretty large (to me anyway) art department so I was able to get pens and ink and art paper and I loved that stuff.
Plus it was right next to OK Corral which was a restaurant that had the BEST cornbread with honey-butter and I knew if we were taking a trip to Ben Franklin we were probably gonna get some OK Corral too.
You ain't ever gonna hurt my feelings giving me art supplies plus cornbread and honey-butter.

My son is now 17 and we stop by Ross and Marshall's, stores that have overruns and other discounted, but usually good quality, clothes and house stuff.
I'll have to go to this store sometime in San Francisco- I can almost smell the incense! It gets great reviews.
