AKA "The Game".
No, we weren't in Cambridge, MA at Harvard stadium.
We were at Felix's Fish camp restaurant on the causeway in Mobile Alabama.

Harvard alums gather there for "The Game" every year.
A friend (Harvard grad) invited us.
We were the token Yale-by-proxy fans.
Our son-in-law is Yale undergrad and I attended a couple of fun summer seminars there in the 80s.
Good game and close. Harvard won with a go ahead touchdown 31-24.
OK, just wait till next year.
Go Bulldogs.

(24,371 posts)Two men are at the urinal in the mens somewhere in New England.
They both finish at the same time and one heads for the sink and the other heads for the door.
Mr. Sink says "You know, at Hahvahd they teach us to wash our hands after we use the toilet."
Mr. Door says "Oh yeah? Well at Yale they teach us not to piss on our hands."
Switch it up as to loyalty, or whatever!

Oh, you could tell by the way I carry myself and my way with the women?
No, I saw your class ring when you were picking your nose.

Hubby isn't even a Yalie and he is still in mourning today.
My ex-husband is a Harvard grad and I'll have to see him at my dtr's house at Thanksgiving, Mercifully, she banned discussion about The Game a few years ago cuz her dad was just plain mean about it.
Today the New Haven Register's sports page is in overdrive about how awful it is. So hubby is reading that out loud to me this morning. He's not looking forward to reading his Sunday edition of the Boston Globe...I told him to skip it today...
This has to stop. I tell him it is just a football game and he's all "they coulda won it but they just fell apart!"
He needs to go to a pitty party with his Yale buddies (who haven't called him yet -- I guess they are too depressed).
On the brighter side, wasn't it cool when the Army skydivers parachuted into the Yale Bowl to bring the game balls for the Yale-Army game on Sept. 30? Now THAT was fun!
I'm glad to see you are dealing with it more rationally...
