(37,457 posts)People can brag or talk about their pets. Or not.
hollysmom
(5,946 posts)and part of it is identifying the kind of pet. It seems divergent, Oh I can brag about my pet, but not for being a dog.

(37,457 posts)Just...do what you wish. Seriously.
hollysmom
(5,946 posts)it is just that this is two different things in one. I think you would get a better response if you chose one or the other, or can you post two sets of choices? or maybe a thread of post your pet pictures.
Please...do what you wish. I think everyone will do what they wish. If they choose to post a pet picture, awesome.
I really don't see the problem. At all. It's a very silly poll. If people don't like it, they will skip it.
Good day.

(72,300 posts)She whispers You're ok. She always ask for a cracker even though I've tried to explain the difference between crackers and cookies. cracker cracker cracker
She's wicked smart when it comes to getting her way. want some !!!
I've spoiled her since I brought her home back in 2001. She is so cute when all of her head feathers stand out. Especially when she is also lifting her foot, begging me to pick her up.
Yup, she's way cool and I totally love her. [img][/img]

(332 posts)and dogs are always my favorite hands down, but cool? I also had a blue and gold for 18 years and the coolest pet I have ever had and the most destructive but loved him anyway. Talked and was almost human, ate dinner with us, played fetch, rode in the car just an amazing and a verrrrrrrry cool guy.

(24,146 posts)mia, aka the artist formerly known as fat cat. she's an old lady now and i'm battling to keep her weight up, but she's still plugging along. she's a sweet girl who thinks all hoomin food is her food and is madly in love with my husband. i swear the two of them are going to run off and elope.
mira, aka dingbat/puppy kitteh/dim bulb
she's dumb as a sack of rocks but what she lacks in brains, she makes up for in sweetness. she is creeping lap mold incarnate, which can get a bit tiresome, but i love the snuggles.

(2,015 posts)but I sometimes wish I could have a dog. I'm just not home enough so I have to get my doggie snuggles from my sister's dogs.

(65,040 posts)He's a poindexter. Doesn't like the park. Doesn't play with the other dogs much when he's there. Gets bored and wants to go home. Jumps on the couch. Watches TV.
The kitties are the same, but they're stricly indoor, so they aren't worldly. At least the doggie gets to ride in a convertible. That makes him think he's cool, but not so much.

(11,794 posts)It is finals week, I am awaiting my students' exams. I've got nothing to do until then, so I'm in bed, reading, with my three rescues snuggled with me.
Bliss.

(38,311 posts)That's how they ended up unadoptable at the animal shelter. They were way too cool.
Our latest adopted dog is a husky. These can be very high energy, very difficult dogs.
I have stories like this:
http://mostlyexchange.blogspot.com/2011/05/when-i-am-out-and-about-with-my.html
Seriously, I've had many dogs in my family since I was a baby and husky is right up there with the dingo and Catahoula class dog: those who are always thinking, plotting, even as they sleep on your bed.
They enjoy human company but they know they are not dependent on us.

(5,435 posts)Bellatrix is a 'rescue' (she was abandoned by a friend's former roommate), and Lyric and i offered to take her since both she and i have experience with snakes.
She is my zen... docile and easy to handle at this point (she's around 5' long).
I try to spend an hour or so with her out of her (very large) tank every day.
We've also taken it upon ourselves to begin breeding/raising the food animals she consumes (mice now, but later will be rats), so that we have better control over the health and nutrition of her prey animals, which is better for her as well.
