As great as their original material is, these two do some great covers. Cortez starts at about 6:00.

I have never been to see Government Mule. However I did get to see Warren Haynes play with The Allman Brothers.

It's a little sad to hear him at the end tell the crowd "have a great 1999", knowing that was about the last sane year we've seen.
