Those ARE wonderful! I especially like the 3rd one where the sun is peeking over the horizon. That's the kind of shot I like to get.

When the first much-needed rainstorms were starting in this part of northern California, the whole sky was pink at dawn. "Red sky in the morning, sailors take warning." But, though we need LOTS of rain, it was cloudy ... I wish I could have seen the Geminid meteor showers.
If you are on Facebook look up EarthSky, there are some good sky photos and info about viewing the night sky.

An aside: I never intended to keep my source a secret- the origin of most of my landscape pic posts is http://imgur.com/

This site has overtaken Photobucket in popularity, as you can imagine. But MY source is secondary- I'm an old fogey who still uses Usenet. One of the groups there is a computer wallpaper group, and there are those there who take a lot of time and effort to go through Imgur to find the best pictures and then upload them. I simply download them sight unseen by the batch then go through them later to discover what has appeared on my hard drive. I take no credit for any of these photos. If I could attribute them to the artist I would.

I have thousands of pics that I will never post, simply because I don't intend to hog the DU's bandwidth. Besides, there aren't enough hours in the day to sit and examine them all.
