10. Total myth. In rain, the outside of the tires are wet. The electricity travels in the water

around the tires, all over the body of the car.

I used to believe that myth myself. The reality is cars are quite dangerous to be in during lightning storms.

Remember when God struck the statue of 'Touchdown Jesus' in Ohio with lightning, destroying the religious statue--while sparing the strip club across the street?

7. Lightning also struck that colossal Jesus in South America, damaging it.

Fact is, the old "Gawd/The Gawds struck them with lightning" is no longer credible.

Lightning hits and damages stuff at random.

8. The people who believe this story would probably be outraged by this 1963 French comedy

"Un Drole De Paroissien" ("A Strange Parishioner&quot starring French comedian Bourvil. The story is about an old aristocrtic family that has fallen on hard times. They can no longer afford their servants, they can't pay the taxes due on their chateau, and they can't even afford food and have to hide from each other if they find something to eat. The thing is, they lost their lands and income and have no one to work for them. Work for them is beneath them. The son (Bourvil), however decides he can't take it anymore and decides to look for a job, which outrages his parents and siblings.

However, he soon discovers that he has no marketable skills. He stumbles upon an idea, however, to steal from the various and many rich churches around Paris. He stumbles upon some reading material about how to extract coins from church collection boxes. He turns it into a science and soon is making the rounds of churches every day to steal from them and amassing a small fortune His entire family gets into the act, with his father who is a stock market genius, multiplying the stolen church funds through his investments. He nearly gets nabbed by the priests and cops when he decides to make one final big score. The once rich aristocratic family at the end becomes rich again thanks to the stolen church funds, the son gets the girl, and they live happily ever after.

A very funny movie that earned a high "7" rating on the imdb website although i doubt the raters were fundies.
