Also, alanis was only in 7 episodes.

(10,857 posts)The bit about the guy afraid to fly dying in a plane crash bears some resemblance to the fate of Oedipus' father, who accidentally created the circumstances which he sought to avoid, thanks to the gods f^%$ing with him. I suppose you could stretch it to fit by claiming that it is the omniscient narrator (the songwriter) who condemned that imaginary guy to his imaginary fate.
No, wait... now I'm all confused. Which is not ironic at all, nope.
