The "money" answer goes like this: He doesn't "need" it, though Joan RIVERS proved that work ethic keeps all the "amassing" going and going. But this game show is so bad (I just sampled it for the first time) that he (or anybody) ought to just park a wheelbarrow in front of a camera and load up the cash. Plus this kind of taking the money looks desperate or cynical. So much for the money.
The real beef is that he is so outside the box, the format of this thing is totally constrictive: Something called "Celebrity Name Game." He, who is like watching somebody freestyling to this edge and that with us gasping that he doesn't fall off, is reduced here to standing around with a pensive look and stance while the contestants yak clues and guesses at each other, peripheral to the point of superfluity. And just how many celebrities are there that can support a finite format?
Drew CAREY was a bit of a surprise to take the security of a game show, but not that much, since he never looked that talented, "moderating" a supposed improv show, meaning the safety of reading off challenges while the comedians on the stage were taking all the risks and doing all the improvising.
Hookay, might as well throw in here, what's with his affinity with LENO?!1 What a slap to Dave, but who knows what the real Dave is like.

Where he played a big-donged porn star turned porn producer named "Dondo"!!!
Other SOA special appearances include Stephen King, Marilyn Manson, Courtney Love and (surprised to see him) Hells Angels founder, Sonny Barger.
