yes the need to have a star (and no hidden posts) seems to have not been programmed, I have a hidden post and discussed it in the host forum and several hosts (at least in the lounge - I hadn't noticed in other forums) have been/were starless.

I wish I had the $$ to renew, but I can't afford right now.
I'm figuring this is the easiest place of all to host.

My sense of snark and lack of patience would do me in. I think to be a host one probably has to have the ability to suffer fools to an extent.
