Be embraced, Millions!
This kiss for all the world!
Brothers!, above the starry canopy
A loving father must dwell.

Joy, beautiful spark of Gods!,
Daughter of Elysium,
Joy, beatiful spark of Gods!.

(We have a 15 year old. Definitely the second movement! As it would be performed by a clutch of meth-addled honey badgers.)

Sometimes a composer will go to a place unvisited before. Beethoven's Ninth is one of those works. And he was nearly deaf when he wrote it.

The classical music realm is full of such events.

Another fave of mine: Bach's Goldberg Variations. Especially Glenn Gould's 1955 recording. It also truly goes to a place hitherto unvisited.

My regards.
