The cornbread was real enough, although not up to Lounge's gourmet standards, was from an envelope (just add milk and an egg). The "butter" was that non-trans-fat stuff that subtracts any semblance of taste. And the beans and bacon were ideations of what would "go" together, non-existent in last night's spread. And I guess I *do* fit the Grandpa image in all its parts of age, weight, and apparel choices!1

I have a leftover can of blackeyed peas and a box of Jiffy cornbread mix from New Years. Gonna try to fancy up the cornbread with some cheese and a cilantro cube.
