Colder than *some places on Mars*.

The Martian equator, in the middle of the day, can sometimes reach 68 degrees F, but as night approaches, that temperature starts to plummet because the Martian atmosphere, while composed nearly entirely of carbon dioxide, is too thin to keep surface heat from escaping into space at night. Meanwhile, at the poles, temperatures can reach -240 degress F, far colder than anything ever recorded on Earth, including Antarctica.
