I've run around all morning getting everything set up. Ran to the credit union to get cash to pay for shipping.
I just called the seller's cell number, which she emailed me last night. It's her husband's #, but the voicemail was a very young sounding woman. Really a girl. So I sent a text. Got an immediate response: u have the wrong #.
double-checked. triple-checked. the number I called and texted is the # she emailed me.

(28,394 posts)You have had so many problems with getting her so far! I can't wait to see her picture!

(7,906 posts)it was probably a typo.
At least I hope so.
Hope you get your Maizie today.

(14,881 posts)I hope I get my Maizie today too. If they couldn't do it, I would expect to have gotten an email. She knows the weekend is fine too (in fact Saturday would be better since I'm home 3 days straight to help her settle in).
I'm a wreck. I've tried so hard, for so long. And Dahli is really seeming lonely this year. I think she knows I promised her a friend.

(72,300 posts)How did you find out about Maizie?
magical thyme
(14,881 posts)by a breeder that I'd almost bought a horse from last year. The breeder takes in a rescue or two each year. If she doesn't re-sell them quickly, she trains them and gets them experienced, then offers them along with her home-breds.

(72,300 posts)Sounds like you've done your homework on Maizie's current home.

I don't understand. I've been sitting by my phone for a couple hours now! Never heard it go off. Apparently she called half an hour ago...

(14,881 posts)she was a little fussy the first hour and then settled down.
She's wearing a blanket right now. It was -2 when they left NY. I let them know it's pretty warm here today, and I have extra blankets, so they don't need to leave one with her. She also brought both a regular halter and a western halter, because she can get a little pushy leading. I let her know I have 2 lead shanks, one with and one without a chain.
I must be out of my mind getting a 2nd horse. But when I think it's falling through I freak out too. It's been too difficult and now it's too exciting....
