Good Vibes, Please?
I just submitted an unsolicited proposal for a three part story to a well respected online magazine. I won't go into details here, but it is about a very personal life event that I believe will be of interest to their readers. I am sure they get dozens of amazing story ideas every day, so I am working to keep a positive attitude as I await word on their decision.
The story is important to me; telling it even more so. Opening myself up, including the realistic possibility rejection, is terrifying. I believe my story matters, though.
