When this was announced, we couldn't wait.

Then we saw ticket prices...

Even then we still trudged on not to be defeated by the ticket prices.

Then came airfare...then lodging...and food, drinks and extras.

This quickly added up to nearly $2000 for three days' worth of entertainment.

We'd love to be there...however this is just too expensive to justify.

We're hoping for a webcast and a gathering of friends who also will not be making the trip to Chicago.

My husband will probably go with the college buddies we used to go with back in the day.

They're only seeing one night, and they're not using any of the lodging packages ($$!).

Makes me long for the old days when we'd live out of a school bus in the parking lot for 3-4 days.

My father always gave me a hard time about it, in a jovial manner of course...but he'd always say:

"I bet you've spent a quarter of your life in parking lots...

You know, he's probably not that far off from the truth...

My hubby and I are going with a dear friend from college. He (college friend, still dear friend) and his buddies were the first people who I ever went to a Dead show with and I wanted my last to be with him.

We are going to make a weekend of it and going to the Saturday show if we get the tix.

To hummm....get ready for the Show....

I'd hang in the parking lot, just cause old times.

and to get ready for the show.

Love Chicago, and it would be a fun reason just to go back and visit the city.
