1. There are many things to compalin about DU3-but the default that keeps home town & gender blank....

is among my pet peeves.

Not to pick on you, Swede, because it is widespread, but why post a locale-specific pic--without telling us where it is?

And, DUers that won't indicate their gender but become annoyed when one guesses wrong deserve a big gooey smack with a twelve foot long wet noodle.

18. Of course. Clearly, I DID SO... but no one else is...because it is not default to fill out.

I challenge you to randomly search profiles of a dozen DUers and find even a hand full that have completed. Before, on DU2, you were ASKED to complete. Now, it is blank by default and you have to purposefully click on it to go to another screen. No one seems to be doing it. Now, one could argue that more people are reluctant to provide this information now, but somehow I have trouble seeing what is so different in providing gender and at least home state NOW as compared to a mere few months ago.

And I constantly see snarky comments towards posters who "assume" gender or even worse, belligerent comments when they state "he/she" (or heaven forbid "it&quot by these same DUers who refuse to fill out their gender. Perhaps they remember it being completed on DU2 and assume that it carried over, but clearly it did not.

Ditto issues with unidentified locale when they post local stories...

Most of them probably assumed that it carried over and then never got around to it.

All the way from Sprout City to Düsseldorf.

But tomorrow I have to run down to Spain. Better luck there, maybe?

Just got home from Illinois, lock the front door, oh boy!
Got to sit down, take a rest on the porch.
Imagination sets in, pretty soon I'm singing,

Doo, doo, doo, Looking out my back door.

There's a giant doing cartwheels,
A statue wearing high heels.
Look at all the happy creatures dancing on the lawn.
Dinosaur Victrola, listenin' to Buck Owens.

Doo, doo, doo, Lookin' out my back door.

Tambourines and elephants are playing in the band
Won't you take a ride on the flying spoon?

Doo, doo doo.
Wond'rous apparition provided by magician.

Doo, doo, doo, Looking out my back door.

Tambourines and elephants are playing in the band
Won't you take a ride on the flying spoon?
Doo, doo doo.

Bother me tomorrow, today, I'll buy no sorrow.

Doo, doo, doo, Looking out my back door.

All our troubles Illinois, lock the front door, oh boy!
Look at all the happy creatures dancing on the lawn.
Bother me tomorrow, today, I'll buy no sorrow.
Doo, doo, doo, Looking out my back door.

It was on a cheap portable radio, and I thought Fogarty was singing:
"Doo Doo Doo Doo That's My Banjo."
