We may lie sometimes, but we don’t want to be seen as liars.

Here's an interesting article about people lying on the internet.

I especially liked this line:

A truism widely attributed to that most famous of truth-tellers, Abraham Lincoln, holds that “No man has a good enough memory to make a successful liar.”

Personally, I think it's just easier to tell the truth.
