The interview went well....at least I think it did :)

This is in reference to this thread ---> http://www.democraticunderground.com/1018716319

I felt better in the interview than I thought I would. I was a little nervous before I went in, but after the guy welcomed me in I was comfortable for the most part...relaxed and confident.

I did not get an offer, which I guess doesn't usually happen anyway at an interview, and he told be several times that he didn't have a position available at the moment. I knew that coming into the interview. He sounded almost apologetic about it. But I went into the interview with the idea that if I made a good impression it could turn into something good in the future. I'm sure they were just scouting talent and I hope I made the list of people they'd like to call if they need someone.

It was a good experience and good practice if nothing else comes out of it at all.

Especially without an actual opening, they weren't likely to make an offer in the interview. But now they'll have you in mind if an opening comes up and maybe call you back for a 2nd round. And in the meantime, successful practice is good!

Just the fact that he wanted to interview you, even though he had told you there weren't any openings now, is very promising. VERY.

I would be very encouraged if I were you.

I'm pretty sure you're on that list.

Congrats!

Before I bought nice clothes, I was afraid I would find them very uncomfortable after years of dressing like a trucker. Now I don't want to take them off! Hopefully, I'll get to dress like this all the time in the near future.

He may be anticipating an opening in the near future. Good luck, and enjoy dinner with your wife.
