Seriously, I know the Stupidbowl is on this weekend. We have a TV with a digital converter box that sometimes works. We mainly watch Netflix and I haven't watched a Superbowl in 30 years. Is anyone with me?

(22,720 posts)And I was a big football fan as a kid. But I really don't care anymore. There are more important things in life!

(55,014 posts)like the kids when they were young, or rarely - yeah baseball but mostly no. I can enjoy knowing a local team is doing well or something but actually watching bores me.

(29,414 posts)Nuclear War has the best rule in the universe for a game:

That is, if you have in your hand the 100 Megaton warhead card and no delivery system capable of sending it up, you can take a chance on the spinner for the Triple Yield spot. If you get it, you blow up the solar system!
Of course, you also sign your death warrant for the next hand as everyone attacks you first, knocking you out of the game early

It's cool!

(29,414 posts)Maybe my media-player, but it's a tiny screen (I bought it for the music-playing capability, not the video-viewing )
I haven't played NW in too many years. When we'd get together, it was always an all evening until way late at night kind of game. Same for Naval Battles, and, Tri-Ominoes

(34,136 posts)Last year I jumped back and forth between the two but it got hard to keep up with the action. I think if I feel like a nap, Fish Bowl is the best choice.
Puppy Bowl on Animal Planet
Fish Bowl on National Geographic Wild
What a dilemma!

(29,414 posts)That is, for roleplay gaming, pencil and paper style.
What would be cool would be to set up gaming groups via skype. I could get into that, once I find my bag-o-dice
