That made my day!
The big black cat/stone looks just like my Natasha Krospina, Empress of All The Cats. At seventeen pounds, she'd be perfect for this...especially considering her usual level of inertia.

He was a big grey and white cat with a very bad 'tude. He would have ripped somebody's face off for that!

I lived in SoCal from late '01 through 2004. My girlfriend had a daughter who looked after the family cat and she had a litter which included Fred. I picked him out a day or so after he was born. I scent familiarized him with me, a breathe or two on his face, etc. He loved me! He's laying on my pillow.

When me and the Ex split, I was working for a NASCAR program which kept me on the road constantly and when I finally put roots down again, it was back east.

Fred stayed with her.

He also would have purred loudly the whole time. If anyone even looked at him, he would purr and he had the loudest purr. I miss that cat. He loved everyone.

Funny. Not sure what I was expecting when I clicked on the post, but this was better than anything I might have thot up.
