(32,086 posts)Gilda Radner is #9, below Eddie Murphy and Mike Meyers? Seriously? She should be #2. Ackroyd and Murray should be #3 and #4, and not necessarily in that order. Dumb list, as they usually are.

(13,770 posts)I think his place is justified.

(32,086 posts)That's a lot more difficult to do than standing out as the only good comedian in a cast of not so good ones. I think Eddie Murphy deserves a high rank. Just not #2.

(4,138 posts)I'd say a top spot is warranted for him. Myers, I would probably rank a bit lower, but he did have a pretty good run.
Subjective list is subjective, I guess.

(182,868 posts)Tina Fey? Yeah I get that she is clever and 30 Rock was good but other than the gift that W offered in the early '00's from 95 until now the show has been horrible. That includes when Fey was the head writer

(24,376 posts)Tim Kazurinsky;
One of the most under-appreciated players ever, from the much-scorned early-Eighties cast. The Kaz had a virtuoso collection of nervous twitches, especially as sweaty little Dr. Jack Badofsky, the absolute master of terrible puns. It was a treat to hear the audience boo and groan whenever Dr. Jack lectured on diseases like influenza if you catch it from the Mississippi River, you've got "Huckleberry Finn-fluenza," if "you sneeze your head off, that's Anne Boleyn-fluenza," while "coal miners' daughters are susceptible to Loretta Lynn-fluenza." Or gonorrhea: "If the New York Post finds out you've got it, everyone in the city's gono-rrhead all about it!"
Those bits he did during Weekend Update were absolutely hilarious.
He is without a doubt one of the most underappreciated and under rated cast members.

(23,340 posts)Rocket was his stage name, his real name was Charles Claverie.
He was hilarious, he used to MC all the school events, he had a band called The Fabulous Motels, sort of a comical Mothers of Invention.
Charles never really found his place in the showbiz industry that reflected his real talent. Sad story, really.

(6,279 posts)They're used to provoke arguments/debates... but I actually agree with it for the most part. I saw another list of Weekend Update answers that I thought was utterly bonkers, so I'm gratified to see this list put Norm MacDonald and Colin Quinn firmly in the basement (with the understanding for many of the lower-ranking people that it was often a case of misused talent).

(7,681 posts)Phil should be #2 or #3. I agree with the Belushi ranking, but it's close. Phil was awesomeness with a cherry on top. Still miss him.
