I think they accidently put these deaths in REVERSE order. Mufasa should be #1, Bambi's mom, #2.

Ed Asner's wife in "UP" the first fifteen minutes, surpassed the others (IMHO)

but then Andy's childhood passing into adulthood led to buckets of tears in Toy Story 3.

Before that I would have to say Mufassa
(the carelessness unattention leading to his death reminds me so much of the Dems in 2010),
leading to growing up and seeing what needs to be done.

5) Pleasure Island - Pleasure Island is an area of the Downtown Disney shopping, dining and entertainment district at Walt Disney World Resort. Pleasure Island officially opened on May 1, 1989. In September 2008, all of the clubs on the island were closed, however, the island's retail stores and restaurants remain open.

4) Mr. Toad's Wild Ride - Mr. Toad's journeys to nowhere in particular were put to an end in 1998 and the ride was replaced the following year with The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. However, a statue of Mr. Toad can be seen with many others at a pet cemetery outside the Haunted Mansion.

3) Image Movers Digital - On March 12, 2010, Walt Disney Studios and ImageMovers Digital announced that they would close operations by January 2011, after the production was completed on Mars Needs Moms. Walt Disney Studios president Alan Bergman said, "...given today’s economic realities, we need to find alternative ways to bring creative content to audiences and IMD no longer fits into our business model."

2) Walt's admonition not to make sequels - Over the years, it became a well-known fact that Walt Disney did not like to do the same thing twice. He said, "I’ve never believed in doing sequels. I didn’t want to waste time I have doing a sequel. I’d rather be using that time doing something new and different." Walt said, "It goes back when they wanted me to do more pigs." The Silly Symphony cartoon Three Little Pigs became a huge success in 1933 due in part to Who’s Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf, a hit song that resonated with Great Depression audiences. Theater owners were clamoring for a follow-up. Walt hesitated," He proclaimed, "You can’t top pigs, with pigs."
