We're supposed to get some snow, but not much, thankfully. Even better, coming off of two days with intermittent -20 and-30 below windchill, we're going to have a high of 32 today! Yay! A heat wave! Only going to last a day but I'll take it.

Stay warm and safe

maybe around 9, I'll go dig out the fire hydrant next door (please mistress /master of the universe may no one need this amen). I gotta thing about clearing a path for the mail carrier....she/he works hard enough, no extra grief from me, then the sidewalk, then a place for the princess peanut, then the driveway I will do this in stages, I'm too aware of the risks to try to do this in one pass. Big bottle of ibuprofen and I think I'll make a pot of meatball veggie soup first. Yeah winter!

A friend of mine, way back when we were in our 20s, was shoveling and it collapsed her lung. She almost died, lying out there in the cold, unable to breathe. I think a neighbor saw her and called 911. She was a healthy 20 something that exercised regularly. So yeah, be careful. Hope it stops soon.

sounds silly till you watch a fire crew digging desperately to find one so they can fight a fire. The guy next door to me is 90, he can't do it so I will.
