(11,364 posts)The rest of us a jealous here. The "high" today was about 16 degrees. The ground is frozen solid, under about a foot of snow and ice. It feels like spring is months away.

(149,699 posts)I don't believe it's lavender...I do have some but it's not flowering just yet. I think the one you mean is rosemary and it's nearly done, I think! There were a few withered flowers on that one.
What you saw as jasmine is actually my little orange bush. The flowers are so fragrant!
The pink flowers are lorapetalum (not sure of the spelling!)
I'm sure gardens in your location will be beautiful eventually! Of course, the key word is eventually...I know you're more than ready.

(14,881 posts)I wonder if my poor lavender has survived this deep frozen winter...I guess I'll find out maybe sometime in July or August...
CaliforniaPeggy

(14,881 posts)but I'm not feeling too optimistic at the moment.
Iirc, it got 2'+ of snow on top of it before the really deep freezes that we've had. By the time were were -24 it had a *lot* of snow insulating it.
