I have to hand it to Madonna...

She is my age, and I don't think I could have gotten up from the fall and head-smack-on-floor she took, and kept performing. That's what I call a real TROUPER!

You may not like her music (if you ever did, I liked it), her personality, or her latest statement about "Nazi Germany", but you have to give the lady a lot of credit for being a trouper. I have a newfound respect for her.

This article about her and Yoko Ono (who's 82 and still performing) made me think of her: http://www.theguardian.com/music/musicblog/2015/feb/27/yoko-ono-and-madonna-both-fight-ageism-in-radically-different-ways

i have fallen in the same manner - and though it was a few years ago, even then, about 3 days later i could not get up from my bed i was so very, very sore and bruised.

... unexpectedly, especially in those stilettos, is like the impact ones body takes in a car accident. I imagine she did have to have some old fashioned TLC after that performance. If she's on a world tour right now, she may have to cancel a concert or two.

She has the performance stamina of a football player. Get hurt? Just get back up and finish the game. Bet she's in physical therapy right now.

She's worked hard throughout her career to stay physically fit.
That probably was beneficial when she fell.

also, when you are fit & hyped for a performance, the adrenaline kicks in and you get up because the show must go on.
