and, it helped!
I am stunned!
I was really skeptical, especially when the vet (when we first talked about it) said it was kind of hit-or-miss and some dogs never improved.
But, the difference with just one treatment, at least for my old girl, is remarkable!!
She is walking so much better than she was 24 hours ago.
It remains to be seen if it has an effect on her fecal incontinence.....
If I were to post this topic in GD, do you think it would re-start the "woo" wars?

But, still totally worth it to see her moving so much better.

Good luck with her.

(27,172 posts)Caring for geriatric pets is so hard sometimes.
If they still seem like they have a zest for life, even with their difficulties, it's sometimes hard to know what the best course of action is.
Sarah hasn't told me she's "done" yet, so I want to do whatever I can to help her feel better.

(33,021 posts)it helped to varying degrees. So when I found a human doctor I tried it as well, while the effects were never permanent, it gave me significant relief.
and as for GD....

screw it--let another woo war begin
here are some responses you might get:
1. it didn't really help. you wanted it to help so that's how you are perceiving it. you expect her to be walking better so you actually think she is
2. your dog is walking better *for now* because she got her legs massaged and that made her feel better
3. of course you have to go back. "psychics" tell you to come back for another "reading" too
i think it probably helped. see what gd thinks (maybe i'm wrong about my response guesses. maybe they won't be as skeptical as i think)
