Woman’s finger bit off during fight in S.F. Mission

The unsettling incident started when police said a 27-year-old woman got into an altercation with a woman in her 30s around 1 a.m. at Cesar Chavez and Mission streets.
That’s when the woman in her 30s, who was not identified, bit off the right index finger of the other woman, police said.
The victim, whom police did not name, was taken to San Francisco General Hospital. It was not clear if her finger was saved.
