just ground up peanuts in a jar....nothing else. Once a month I drive over, the dog in her seatbelt in the back seat, window half down; I go in, buy a jar, gag when I come out, usually we go for a walk then home. I am sure this is likely the best PB ever, but......just for her would I do this. Any human will have to get their own, and keep it outside, cause it will not come in here with out her waiting on her kong.

My son is. Anaphalactic Shock variety allergy. I grew up eating a pbj sammitch just about every day for lunch in grade school. (I loved it and it was the simplest thing for my mom to slap together.) I breastfed him for a long time, and I worry that maybe he was overexposed through my breast milk. He ate it once, by accident, when he was about 14. Fortunately we were five minutes away from a hospital emergency room. Ever since (he's 37) he's very alert, always asks at restaurants, reads labels, etc.
We were lucky. All the best…And maybe you should make a point of avoiding it too. (There are plenty of peanut-free doggie treats.

The one cat, Yeti Fang, also loved peanuts and esp cashews (also my fav nut). He didn't care for almonds.

My parents' dog would sit by Dad's chair when he was eatin peanuts. She usually mabafed 2 f/ every 1 to Dad as he shelled 'em.

Lived in Erie, PA in 70s. Was great shop downtown that sold ___-butter -- just about any nut you wanted. Headed there almist every time had a bit of splurge money.
