And yes, I work from home now. IT jobs at my level are few and far between. I prefer the home life so I can be here for the kids and give my wife a shoulder rub when she gets home from work.

Never heard of Elance. I worked for years as a Baker and in a supermarket Deli. I needed a change and quit and was selling antiques for a friend who had a Antique shop and could not go to shows,go out buying,etc.and sell so I sold for him online and made a steady income for a while. I am still doing that now but the income is not as steady as it was and he wants to sell his business and go into another field. I moved back in with my Mom and am trying to fix her house up so she get put it up for sale and thought a stay at home job would be perfect. I find I am willing to work more hours when at home. So, I am hoping I can find something even if part time at home. Thanks for post by the way!

I don't have writing experience. It's is something I enjoy though.I had never heard of elance and I doubt I would be qualified for any of the jobs.As I mentioned in my original thread, I knew a lady who worked for Ebay or Amazon. She answered emails and took calls from her home. I have no idea how she got the job or heard about it. She had no experience at the time. She said she went through some basic training and got the hang of it fast. I understand a job like that at first would not pat very well, which I am fine with and understand. I was just hoping to find something like that at home where I can work as many hours as I wish. Many thanks again for all the responses.

and then some other work at home sites. Liveops is real, i think you pay a few bucks for a background check. After that, you put in whatever hours you want and get paid every two weeks. Then have never missed a pay period and I've been with them for over 4 years.

do you DO at liveops? The descriptions are so vague I have no idea what they hire for; what do you do with them?

I thought the same thing and I spent some time on each position they had offered. Independent Agents, Advance ales Agent, Licensed Insurance Agent,Outbound Agent,etc. I think I am going to fill out an application anyway.

I filled out the application and got this response.

So, I guess searching for other jobs would be a waste of time since they are not looking for anyone in my state.

I never heard of Liveops but I am going to look into it. I just hope I am qualified. I never finished college and I am finding most of these work from home jobs require some sort of degree. Many thanks for the info.
