Sir Terry Pratchett has died.

Just found out.

This is very sad.

Loved the tweet from his daughter though -

After her father’s death, Pratchett’s daughter Rhianna referred to one of the recurring characters in the Discworld novels, Death, a strangely endearing creature who is fond of cats — and whose utterances on the page are written in Caps.

“AT LAST, SIR TERRY, WE MUST WALK TOGETHER,” she tweeted. “Terry took Death’s arm and followed him through the doors and on to the black desert under the endless night.”

I've read every book.
Twice.
A third read sounds about right.

Sir Terry, you gave me a much brighter viewpoint from which to see.

Thank you.

They are all excellent reading, so you could almost close your eyes and point to choose one.
(betcha can't just read one though)

I guess I should start with The Colour of Magic although it sounds like you could jump in anywhere from what you and Wikipedia say. What a prolific writer he was -- it's sad he passed away so young but maybe his daughter will continue the series.

The Vimes "Boots Theory" is the best explication of real-people economics I have ever read.

She has been a Discworld fan for ages and ages. They are as much her family as the kids and I are. This really is a great loss for Terry's family, friends, and readers.
