Last time I was in Tokyo (a couple years ago) tripped a bit on Japanese stations. I noticed during the day there were soap operas that take place in feudal times. In the evenings some shows that embarrass or humiliate a contestant. The commercials were awesome. Obviously lots of other programming as well, but those I noticed. I really liked the Mt. Fuji channel. 24/7 of Mt. Fuji!
