Police say naked man standing in doorway is not breaking law; neighbors are fed up

http://www.charlotteobserver.com/news/local/community/news-alliance/wbtv-news/article14574080.html

Residents in a Charlotte neighborhood say they are fed up with a neighbor they say stands at the front door of his home naked, but police say he's not doing anything illegal.

People in the Cardinal Glen neighborhood in north Charlotte say the man has been doing this for nearly ten years and on Friday, they called police again.

“I was out rolling the trash can on Friday and I just happened to look over there and he was standing there buck naked,” neighbor Pecolia Threatt said.

Neighbors say the man just stands there naked at his door several times a week. They're disgusted and fed up.

Wasn't this an episode of Friends? Who knew Friends was set in Charlotte?

in their camera-ready outrage. Ten years of this horror and no sign of an end to it!

But, even better for news coverage would be to brag about this guy. Make him a celebrity, with contests for who can get the best picture, or guess the time he'll show up.

So, there's a naked guy. Would a naked woman be better, or worse?

they're probably going about it the wrong way by expressing anger and disgust, which is likely what the guy is looking for.

OTOH, if they laughed like hell every time they saw him, he would probably give up.

Just my experience from dealing with RL perverts like obscene phone callers and such

to get into such a lather over this. He's been doing this for 10 years. Let it go. I'm sure the kids are more freaked out by all of the fuss than they are about the nude guy.

People can control if they take their kids to a nude beach. If he is in clear view of the public, then it should be a legal problem. Unfortunately, the seems to say otherwise. There is something wrong with someone who intentionally exposes himself to the public. IMO.
