you reminded me of something, from decades ago

A friend of a friend was in jail for some time (war on drugs thing), and wanted mail but my friend was lazy, so I said, hey, I send cards / postcards all the time to my relatives (GI brat thing) so I'll send the gal in jail some cards, no problem. Well it was Easter and the first card I sent depicted eggs in plain sight in a jail yard with the caption being the prisoner saying something like, "Sheesh, this (easter egg hunt) just isn't very challenging". Immediately after I mailed it I was like, OMG, that was awful, that was like I am making fun of her being in jail, and I felt quite mortified. BUT SHE LOVED IT! Said she and all buddies howled and even the guards thought it was hiarious. Whew!
