Dissertation Defense April 17th at 4 pm

After 55 1/2 grueling months I am defending my dissertation a week from Friday (also the day before my birthday). I can't believe it is finally over. If I had to do it over again, I'm not sure I would.

I also defended my thesis the day before my birthday but that was back in 2001.

Give it some time before deciding whether or not you'd do it again. It took a couple of years but I started to look back on my time in Grad School happily. It was tough, it was painful but I made some great lifelong friends too.

Had to defend a thesis for an honors award as an undergrad and was as nervous as could be. Glad I didn't have to do something similar in law school.

Relax and slam it out of the park! Then it's beer o'clock.
