My 19 year old son came over to see me yesterday. I love this kid so much. We went to downtown Orlando, had a nice huge pizza meal, witnessed a false fire alarm event in a high-rise building, had nice talks, and watched a new movie, Ex Machina.
He actually wants my advice at times! (*falls over*). And he listens! He puts up with my unsolicited advice too! He is very kind to me, and I try to be to him also. He is my contribution to the world.
Have a wonderful lovely spring day, all!

(4,062 posts)It's funny what happens when you don't force a hierarchical arrangement!
Now that he's a legal adult, I try so hard to treat him that way, with complete respect. I tried to be totally respectful when he was a minor too.

and has now been accepted in the Coast Guard Academy at Cape May, New Jersey. He reports June 2.
At 6'3" he is a tad taller than me, all muscle, clean cut and well-behaved. I'm quite proud.

Take those moments whenever you can get them!!

(8,217 posts)My niece actually snuggled up with me.
That almost never happens. That was great! My nephew is too old to snuggle up now except with his mother.
I love those kids so much.
