One of the simple joys in life was had by me last night....

My 19 year old son came over to see me yesterday. I love this kid so much. We went to downtown Orlando, had a nice huge pizza meal, witnessed a false fire alarm event in a high-rise building, had nice talks, and watched a new movie, Ex Machina.

He actually wants my advice at times! (*falls over*). And he listens! He puts up with my unsolicited advice too! He is very kind to me, and I try to be to him also. He is my contribution to the world.

Have a wonderful lovely spring day, all!

Now that he's a legal adult, I try so hard to treat him that way, with complete respect. I tried to be totally respectful when he was a minor too.

He drifted a bit out of high school, then landed a good paying job on Alaska's North Slope. He saved up his money,
and has now been accepted in the Coast Guard Academy at Cape May, New Jersey. He reports June 2.
At 6'3" he is a tad taller than me, all muscle, clean cut and well-behaved. I'm quite proud.

but they are grown people. The oldest is 19 and the youngest will be 18 next month. I still marvel at the people they have become.

Take those moments whenever you can get them!!

My niece actually snuggled up with me.
That almost never happens. That was great! My nephew is too old to snuggle up now except with his mother.

I love those kids so much.
