Do you believe in premonitions?

Have you ever had an experience like, you had a dream about someone you hadn't seen for 10 years - and the next day, you passed by them on the sidewalk at lunch?? That just happened to me. So weird.

It's actually a bit frightening.

It's not something I can really describe, but I will get a "flash" of something that will happen. I wish I could realize them when they occur so I could prevent the bad things from happening, but it doesn't seem to work that way.

I don't get premonitions in dreams though.

it wasn't a dream but instead it happened like this:

15 years ago, I worked at a place for a guy who had a number of interns. One of them was a very smart Israeli guy. I left there in 2000 for a better job, and never saw any of these people again (Midtown Manhattan is a big place, and our social circles are uptown vs. downtown). Two weeks ago, appropo of nothing, I did a search on him, and turns out he's become extremely successful (good for him, he deserves it, and is a lovely man).

Now what are the chances that today at lunch, he was stopped right at the very same corner as I was, waiting for the light...? I couldn't believe it. I'm still kind of shaking my head at the entire sequence of events.

Typically, the events run in an order REVERSED from how they unfolded with me, lol. Who knows, but stuff like that seems to be thriller movies in the making.

the next day I flew it the same way for real.

Try as I might, I could never repeat it.

I can never explain that one. Or when a client is returning early or just going to show up. Good thing is that I can nail the final tidy up details before they arrive. It's really weird. Helpful, but weird!

With dreams, and always the morning dreams soon before awakening. I wake up feeling like the dream seemed real.

Now, whether it really is a supernatural premonition, or, if our subconscious has already figured out what will probably happen and we open up to our subconscious in the dream state, is unclear.

where I am in a situation in a dream that later happens in real life. The circumstances are not 100% exactly right but close enough. It's pretty weird.

which have stuck in my head, and then days later something will happen relating to the dream. It has occurred too many times to be coincidental.

But I can usually see trouble coming.

My subconscious is VERY good at putting two and two together for me
without me having to do much of the work.

When John Kerry introduced himself at the Democratic National Convention as their presidential candidate by saying, "I'm John Kerry and I'm reporting for duty" with a salute, I felt with a sudden flash of absolute certainty that he was going to lose. I don't know know why, I just knew it.

Had a dream where a neighbor brought over a microphone and we accidentally broke it. He said "that microphone cost $1070" and now we can't use it.

The number was weird so I remembered it I guess. Next day, I bought a new tape deck (this was 25 years ago). It was on sale for $99. The cashier rang it up with tax and when the number came up on the register it was "$107.00" I got the new machine home, plugged it in and then noticed it had no mic jacks.

Saw my college in dreams repeatedly years before I got there. I had never been there but the first time I went I had deja vu on steroids.

Had a dream before a ski trip that we had driven up to Mammoth and it started to snow. We were following a white VW Rabbit around a curve when it spun out right in front of us. I told my father about the dream. We got to Mammoth, it started snowing, a white VW Rabbit was in front of us at a stoplight and I said "wouldn't it be weird if this car spun out in front of us?" A minute later, wide turn, Rabbit spun.
