tell me what's so momentous about Letterman's show ending? Sincere question so no sarcasm thingy. I've only seen it a few times while on vacation; otherwise it was on way too late for me. Thanks!

(28,394 posts)I guess I missed it back when it used to be funny. I could never stay up beyond the beginning of "The Daily Show" before I retired last year.
I am really looking forward to what Steven Colbert will do with the show.

(8,217 posts)I watched Leno a little, but I don't really watch Late Night Shows, opting to stick with my compy, books and games(when I used to be a gamer, I don't even play any more).

(115,693 posts)I watched only occasionally, but I caught a few shows that I thought were really funny. Stupid Pet Tricks and Jack Hanna's animals were a hoot.

(4,691 posts)He appealed to me, but I'm not in mourning about his leaving the show. He made me laugh quite often. That being said, he did have some crappy shows, too. I never could stomach Leno, and the Jimmys don't appeal to me. I do look forward to seeing Stephen Colbert's new show. All I can say is, think of someone famous who touched you in a way that you can't explain; and then you may see the point.
