Ok I've missed the point before - so please someone

tell me what's so momentous about Letterman's show ending? Sincere question so no sarcasm thingy. I've only seen it a few times while on vacation; otherwise it was on way too late for me. Thanks!

I guess I missed it back when it used to be funny. I could never stay up beyond the beginning of "The Daily Show" before I retired last year.

I am really looking forward to what Steven Colbert will do with the show.

I watched Leno a little, but I don't really watch Late Night Shows, opting to stick with my compy, books and games(when I used to be a gamer, I don't even play any more).

I watched only occasionally, but I caught a few shows that I thought were really funny. Stupid Pet Tricks and Jack Hanna's animals were a hoot.

He appealed to me, but I'm not in mourning about his leaving the show. He made me laugh quite often. That being said, he did have some crappy shows, too. I never could stomach Leno, and the Jimmys don't appeal to me. I do look forward to seeing Stephen Colbert's new show. All I can say is, think of someone famous who touched you in a way that you can't explain; and then you may see the point.
