Tomorrow I'm rising at 3am (ugh) to drive to Disney World for the 24 hours at the Magic Kingdom starting tomorrow at 6am. I doubt we'll (Me, Mrs, and Jr 4 year old) make it for all 24, but we'll push it until we all break (or get a little tired and cranky). So if you hear of a fight at Disney because someone tried to cut in line at It's a Small World at 2am, you can say, "Hey I know that sonofabitch"
Yippie kay yay...

(38,312 posts)My wife and one of our kids enjoy Disneyland. A harmless quirk. I often wish my own quirks could be so harmless.
I just go to watch people. It's an anthropological investigation. I love field work.
One family relative wore the sacred Micky Mouse costume. Yes, children, Micky is often a woman.
We were riding Space Mountain just past midnight when this millenium began.
We bought the photo,
We were also there for the 50th anniversary.
My mom was there when Disneyland opened.
She and my visiting great grandma were fleeing my grandparent's crazy shit that day.
My mom's parents were both crazy by any rational measure. They could only manage to keep it together at work. At home it all fall apart.

Last time I was there we rode IASW and the lights and music went out. The boats just kept floating in the near darkness until we were in the last room before the ride ended when things came back on. It was kinda creepy but kinda cool

Over and over and over.

(53,339 posts)One disabled man was trapped in the ride when it froze with the song playing over and over on a loop. He got $8,000 which to my mind was not nearly enough.

I actually love that ride because it's unintentionally terrifying. Like Disneyland itself.

(4,482 posts)As soon as the park opens, the crowd goes to the first ride available and stands in line. We always went to the end of the park and worked our way back to the entrance. That way, the rides are practically empty; and there is no standing in lines.
Have fun!
