Daily Holidays - June 8

Jelly-Filled Doughnut Day After all, National Jelly-Filled Doughnut Day is just around the corner on June 8. National Cream-Filled Doughnut Day pops up on September 14. Shortly before the sugary excess of Halloween, we have Buy a Doughnut Day on October 30. http://www.cnbc.com/id/102736625

World Oceans Day Oceans Day is a yearly event to celebrate and honour the bodies of water that join us all. The oceans generate most of the oxygen we breathe, they regulate our climate, and they feed us.

But the best part is, we still know very little about them; less than 10% has been explored, and scientists believe over 9 million species are yet to be discovered in the deep blue depths!

So whether you go for a dip, surf, scuba-dive or join in with one of the many events organised in over 45 countries worldwide, let’s celebrate and honour our oceans, and inspire younger generations to get involved with their conservation. https://www.daysoftheyear.com/days/world-oceans-day/

Best Friends Day Life wouldn’t be the same without best friends. They’re the friends that can be counted on to be there at a moment’s notice. The ones who love, laugh, support, and cherish – in both good and bad times. Friends can be celebrated on any day of the year, but what better day than Best Friends Day? The day is largely unofficial, with no clear clue as to its origins, but that doesn’t stop the millions who mark the day each year from enjoying their best friends. Celebrations can be as low key or as flamboyant as desired. A picnic in the park, a get together over coffee, or a nice meal in a favourite restaurant are popular ways to celebrate a close friendship. Should distance keep best friends apart, it’s enough to pick up the phone to wish that special person a very happy Best Friends Day. https://www.daysoftheyear.com/days/best-friends-day/

Upsy Daisy Day Upsy Daisy Day encourages you to face the day positively, and to get up ‘gloriously, gratefully and gleefully’ each morning. https://www.daysoftheyear.com/days/upsy-daisy-day/

Stopped at Dunkin' Donuts with my friend the other night and got coffee - and was told that they were giving out a free donut with every drink. I don't remember the last time I ate a jelly donut, it's probably been years. I brought it home with me and just thought of it, didn't want it to get stale, so I was finally just eating it when I called up this thread!

It was the cosmic forces of the Universe coming into alinement.

As is the saying of my local Donut Shop..... "You Can Always Trust The Donut Man"..... I must believe the "He" had something to do with it.

Is there some sort of belief system associated with this that I'm unaware of? If there is, then I guess I'm a convert...

And the Donut Man was more like an 18-year-old, LOL. But we all have to believe in something, and donuts are as good as anything else out there - maybe better!
