Call me crazy but I did not like the Vanity Fair cover. It was probably photoshopped to death - when I first saw it I thought it was Jessica Lange. It looked like one of those bad photos you'd get from one of those Mall Glamour Shots stores. I have not seen the other photos from within the magazine but just the cover.
Then I saw this photo of Caitlyn Jenner which probably doesn't have a stitch of photoshop. She's posing with the person that did her plastic surgery. I have to say she looks wonderful in that photo and the surgeon did great work. I hope that Ms. Jenner does more photos where she isn't overly photoshopped. It was great worked done and she should enjoy it!

(95,337 posts)and the photo I just posted- she just is feminine. But it's a general complaint with most fashion photos - they wipe away the person underneath and create someone new.
I predict this surgeon is gonna make a lot of money. The work on Caitlyn's face is really good and not over the top.

(95,337 posts)I use to look like the younger sister from Family ties (the girl with with dark black hair now).
I just think Caitlyn looks more natural and relaxed in that photo with the Surgeon whereas the Vanity Fair cover was just too forced and trying too hard. But I would blame more of how the photo was treated after the shoot was done - which is typical for any magazine cover. I know when I see a famous actress hawking age-reversing treatment for some make-up company that if I drop $200 to buy that product I will not suddenly reverse the hands of time. That flawless photo I see wasn't because of the age-reversing product but photoshopping.

(95,337 posts)Mushy coffee - yuckies!!!
I think Jon Stewart had a nice bit on all of that. Before it was about Jenner's athleticism. And now it is going to be all about her looks. That's the fate of us women *sigh*
But I hope you understand it wasn't about Jenner's overall appearance about the first photograph, it was the work done on the photograph afterwards that I could tell it was a bit too much and too forced. I wasn't impressed. But to me that would be the photographer Annie Liebowicz and Vanity Fair more than Caitlyn Jenner.
