reactive good.
proactive should be 'pre-active.' But once you act you act, not pre- or pro- act.
Just a pet peeve.
Also felt I may have had something to do with it becoming a word. I was making fun of one of my management dudes back in the early 80s and he took the word back to the home office. About two weeks later it was bouncing off the walls. It was meant to be a joke.
