I was disappointed in the new Mad Max one, but it is fast moving. Not so much in content but in shooting and stuff.

Yeah buddy, I can just imagine when that thing showed up at the MPAA...

"We have this movie here to be rated."

'What's it about?'
"Oh...two hours of kids killing each other."

'Any sex?'
"No."

'Bad words?'
"No."

'Smoking?'
"No."

'Illegal drugs?'
"No."

'Perfect PG-13 film!'

Terrific performances by Tom Hardy and James Gandolfini (one of his last roles). Based on a Dennis Lehane short story, and situated in down-and-out Boston. I saw it on Netflix a while back, and I was impressed.

Be forewarned: It is 3 hours long and has six different story lines/genres. It also features actors playing different characters in each of the storylines.

But as crazy as that all sounds, it is an incredible movie based on a David Mitchell novel. It kept my attention throughout the movie.

Dan Duryea, Lloyd Bridges, and J. Carroll Naish. It's a fast-paced war movie taking place in the Libyan desert during World War II right about the time of the British army's rout by Rommel in the Battle of Gazala. Along with Casablanca and The Big Sleep I'd say it's my favorite Bogart movie.
