Don't know how he was like that, we never raised him special or anything, but I can't believe the contrast with cats of other friends: When we visit, they'll hide somewhere till we're gone.

(35,764 posts)We go through a whole ritual, me 'n my three cats. One strides to the door: "I want out. See 'ya." (But she's back in two minutes.)
The two indoorsies meet me and get a hug or a head stroking. Sometimes food, if it's the right time of day.
I agree: a house is not a home without a cat or two or three or four or...
It would be an empty house and an empty feeling without these kitty-babies.
