I'd like to know why even the concept of The Magistrate is gone, much less the entity itself, but especially the entity themselves.

He was of a rather old vintage, so I hope his absence is only temporary.

I've met him a couple of times, though not recently. He's a very interesting man.

If there's any way you can do a little sleuthing and see if he's OK, that would be cool. He's a big part of the DU experience, and he's been MIA for over half a year, now.

At one time, I knew approximately where he lived but since then he's moved and I never heard where to. It was always a treat to read his posts.

It just seems like a long while for him to stay away...and his last post was as cheery as ever.

I hope that he just got fed up with some of the antics here.

We need some more wisdom scattered around the forums!!

And he does such an excellent job of it.

I hope he's still around, but his lack of posting is noteworthy.

If he had contact with no other poster off the boards, if something unpleasant happened we'd never know about it.

But maybe we'll get lucky, and he'll suddenly surprise us with a "reports of my death" post, and we can all smile again.

We could certainly use it after the last couple of weeks.

And you're right--we could use some help in "elevating the tone" around here!!!
